Today is 2nd October !!

Today the ‘2nd Oct’ does not excite much todays generation.. Adding to it, this year, it fell on Saturday, of course on weekend.. I bet many of us would have missed that today is our Bapu Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday as it is already holiday today.. And it would not surprise anyone too.

I am not sure, but probably it may cause shrinks on forehead too for fewer of us as it is Dry-Day today and one that happened on Saturday…

I am not the exception too,asleep in the morning switch on the TV then it strike to me that today’s Baapu’s B’day, the 2nd Oct..

This would be the story to many of us.

Probably it may seems a bit impractical.. But, I gave a second thought then. What if we will start celebrating today’s day for some more reasons, not only because Bapu born today.

..Think like one great ‘Thinking’ born today.

..Think like some ‘Culture’ born today.

..etc.etc

If we can remember 14th November as ‘Bal-Diavs (Children’s Day)’ (I hope you can recall it, why?).. There is Teacher’s day on 14th September..and many more..

Can’t we call it ‘Ahimsa Diwas’ or ‘Swarajya Diwas’.. and there could be anything sensible which everyone of us will implement in our life.. And follow Bapu’s message. at-least for a week, for a day..

Not sure how many of us already knew this,

Today’s day is celebrated as ‘International Day of Non-Violence’.  And why it is named this, does not need any explanation ..

So guys, whats your take on this… take your step towards Non-Violence, TODAY !!

 

Wait for 20 Years & you will see Change in INDIA…

Title is difficult to understand, so expanding it a bit..

Talking about year 1997, These are the words told by our respected History Teacher in class 10th. At that age it was a kind of bouncer for us but I felt a longer sense of vision in it. Somehow, I have kept them in my little cerebrum. In fact, my teacher might also not be able to explain it to us at that moment.

I am brought up in Navodaya Vidyalaya Hatta,Distt Damoh and I can proudly say “I born again in Navodaya”. I interacted with many people from  various region of our diverse India. Education in Navodaya is far better than other schools in our surroundings. We have been taught not only  bookish knowledge rather it was complete mix of Humanity, Integration,Values,Management and many such things which are more useful and  significant in day to day life. When we were in Navodaya, we never felt where we are heading to. What will this education give us? However, One  thins was sure that we had capability to change the world around us because we were always ready to change ourselves. We have seen India very  closely, the incredible India as well depriving India. Our Nation needed a change. But the people who were handling it and governing it, not holding  those qualities. And here comes the meaning of the title.

We the student, if given a correct education and taught the lessons on Humanity and Integration then definitely, India will emerge as a real  Incredible India. But the today’s student will be capable enough to hold the power only after a certain age. It means after 20 years from then. So  that was the vision behind those words. If we have been taught lessons on Integration and other outgrowing qualities at the younger age then that will give India a bright future.

And I have to say, now this is the time to prove those words right. We just have to start now. Many of us are enough capable to bring some differences in India. Yes, We the Navodiyan have those qualities which can do anything at par.

Yes, I can see around 20,000 students are passing every year from our great Navodaya, full flegded with education and noble thoughts. And believe me, all of them are rocking wherever they are working. Even the person who became a primary teacher after class 12th. He/She has been proven himself/herself the best in that area. I can not negate the fact that many of us already working towards brightening of India. But the count is countable. So, We need to be united and work on it.

This article will not be completed without mentioning about few people and initiatives which are doing excellent job in putting India and  Navodaya, of course in front line.

AINAA – All India Navodaya Alumni Association. http://navodaya.net/ A great association working enthusiastically having 4000+ members.

“Rewa Smriti” – Anyone who have hit google for any novodaya information. I can bet, must have encountered this Name in the results returned. I  will not say anything about Rewa Di, better suggest you to go and have a glance at http://rewa.wordpress.com/

And just a one or two days back, I have come across a orkut profile having 1000+ friends and 10,000+ scraps. I will not disclose his/her name here. But without a doubt, Navodayian can do this. Now profile owner stop accpting any friend request instead fan club communities have been created to join him/her. Guys, go and search that. You will again surprised where Navodayian are heading.

And there are many more. I better suggest you to visit these sites and your all questions about Navodaya will be answered. However, I have a complain to all Girls from JNVs as I have seen lesser participation and activation of girls though there are exceptions too. Rather whoever girl is participating, is doing tremendous job. So, I want to encourage all the JNV girls to come forward. I must suggest them to have a look on Rewa Di blog once. Anyways, that can be a separate blog itself. Navodayan are gonna rock the not only India rather surprise whole world. So come on Guys!!

Lets change our Nation. 20 years are almost over now…
